Graphic Prints

It is common knowledge that I love textiles.  I love textiles so much, I work at a textile company and am surrounded by beautiful textures and patterns every day.    I now appreciate why beautiful fabric costs so much.  The process is long, something that I won't bore you with on my blog, but needless to say, great fabric is a form of art and is accessible to all of us.     Today, I am focusing on bright, graphic prints....

Bring Great Art into Your Space...

Art does not have to be expensive to add depth, character and beauty to any environment.  The key to a great collection is to choose an interesting mix of periods, mediums and subjects.

I have been collecting for many years, and have found great pieces at estate sales, flea markets, street artists and even made a few myself!

I simply love the work of Mark Rothko.  I am in awe of art that appears to be simple yet can fill a space with beauty...

Neutral Can Work...

I am always drawn to neutrals in photographs, but they don't always translate well to a "real" room.  The best way to make a neutral space work well is to utilize texture and tones of the color you love.  Gray, cream, white and brown all work well because of the textural quality....
